Amazon has expanded its awesome sale on Arcade1Up machines to include the Mortal Kombat II Classic Special Edition for $284 (was $334). The Mortal Kombat II deal joins existing deals on the Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man models, which are on sale for the price. To sweeten the deal, the retailer has dropped the price of the official Arcade1Up Classic SE Riser to only $39 (was $60). Amazon has also added The Fast & the Furious Deluxe Cabinet to the sale by dropping the price to $500 (was $600). You can also still save $100 on NBA Jam Deluxe, $50 on Pac-Man Deluxe, and get Arcade1Up’s pair of Countercades for $130 (was $150) each.

Amazon’s promotion marks the first time Arcade1Up’s Classic Special Edition Cabinets have been discounted since launching a few months ago. The NBA Jam and Fast & Furious deals are better than we saw during Black Friday, and Amazon has also restocked Arcade1Up’s Full-Size Claw Machine for $500 (was $550) since our last update (December 16). For a more compact arcade machine, check out the Pac-Man and Class of ’81 Countercades, which are on sale for the same price as Black Friday.
The design of the Classic Special Editions is a return to Arcade1Up’s roots. All three models have 13 preloaded games and are available to ship in one to two days. The arcade sticks, buttons, dual speakers, and overall build quality aligns with Arcade1Up’s pricier options. Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man have online leaderboards, and Mortal Kombat has online multiplayer.
Arcade1Up Classic Special Edition Arcade Cabinets
There are a few reasons why these are cheaper than other Arcade1Up standing cabinets. The Classic Special Editions are just under 4-feet tall, whereas Deluxe models are 5 feet. The good news is you can get a universal Arcade1Up Riser for $39 (was $60) that raises the height to 5 feet. If you don’t get the Riser, you will likely want an adjustable barstool–unless the cabinet is for kids, in which case the original height will likely be a better fit. These machines have 15.6-inch displays and regular marquees, whereas Deluxe Editions have 17-inch screens and light-up marquees. Instead of a faux coin door found on Deluxe Editions, the Classic Special Editions have black front panels with game logos.
Check out the full game lists for all three Classic Special Edition machines below. We’ve also included a list of in-stock Deluxe Editions and details on the Countercades.

The Classic Special Editions are the cheapest standing cabinets in Arcade1Up’s catalog, but they aren’t the cheapest machines overall. As mentioned, Amazon has a pair of Arcade1Up countertop arcade machines in stock right now for $130 (was $150) each. The Class of ’81 Countercade is themed around Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga. It has a 7-inch, vertically oriented LCD screen, full-size controls, and can be powered via Micro-USB or four AA batteries (not included). In addition to Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga, Class of ’81 includes Dig Dug.
The Pac-Man Countercade has the same technical specifications as Class of ’81 and includes three preloaded games: Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man, and Pac-Mania.

If you’re interested in checking out Arcade1Up’s Deluxe Arcade Machines, Amazon has seven models in stock as of December 19–eight if you count the Claw Machine. Last week, Amazon had eight cabinets in stock, but Golden Tee and Class of ’81–which was on sale for $450–have since sold out. Deluxe Editions are priced between $500-$600, but as mentioned, NBA Jam, The Fast & the Furious, and Pac-Man are on sale right now. The Fast & the Furious is one of the Deluxe editions with a $600 MSRP due to its specialized controls: a racing wheel and pedals. It comes with two preloaded games: The Fast & the Furious and The Fast & the Furious: Drift. The NBA Jam machine includes the original 1993 arcade game, the Tournament Edition, and NBA Hangtime. The Pac-Man Deluxe Cabinet, meanwhile, has 14 preloaded games: Dig Dug, Dig Dug 2, Galaga, Galaga ’88, Galaxian, Mappy, Pac-Man, Pac-Man Plus, Pac-Land, Pac & Pal, Rolling Thunder, Rompers, Super Pac-Man.
